Who we are

Scoutside is operated by Liz Mounfield, trading as Scoutside, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Liz Mounfield is the data controller for any personal data collected through this site. Contact: hello@scoutside.co.uk.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us directly, through the forms on this site:

• Waitlist form: your email address, which radar you're interested in, and anything you tell us you'd want it to monitor.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and the content of your message.
• Pitchside subscription: if you sign up, our payment processor Stripe collects your email and payment details directly - we receive your email, name, and which plan you chose, but never your full card number. See "Who we share it with" below.

We don't run analytics or tracking scripts on this site, and we don't use cookies beyond what's strictly needed to submit these forms or process a Stripe payment. There's nothing else collecting data about you here.

Why we collect it

To email you when the radar you asked about opens, and to reply to any message you send us. That's it, we won't use your details for anything you haven't asked for, and we don't send marketing beyond the launch update you signed up for.

Who we share it with

Form submissions and site hosting are handled by Netlify, our hosting provider, who process this data on our behalf as it passes through their infrastructure. If you subscribe to Pitchside, payment is handled by Stripe, who process and store your card details directly under their own security standards (PCI DSS) - we never see or store your full card number ourselves, only the billing details Stripe shares back with us (email, name, plan, subscription status). We don't sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with any other third party, and we don't use ad networks or marketing trackers.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist and contact submissions until you ask us to delete them, or until the relevant radar has launched and the entry is no longer needed - whichever comes first. Ask any time and we'll remove your data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you;
• correct anything that's wrong;
• delete your data;
• stop using your data, or restrict how we use it.

Email hello@scoutside.co.uk for any of the above. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Written in plain English by the person who runs Scoutside - if anything here is unclear, just ask.
